I love Riesling, and this is why...

Max Richter 2005 Wehlener Sonnenuhr

A wonderfully delightful Kabinett from the Mosel. It smells like rubber and pineapple. When you taste it, you get lychee fruit. A gorgeous wine. 8.5% alcohol. I paired it with spicy Chinese food. Excellent.

Welcome to the dark side..........

An off-dry Riesling and asian food is always a dream-comination! Once again the reminder that 2007 will be a terrific vintage. BTW, stay tuned for my notes at the end of february, as I will attend a barrel-tasting of R. Weil/Rheingau from the vintage 2007.

Take care,
Martin

I love Riesling. There is a Thai restaurant here in Vegas (The Lotus of Siam) that has a killer German Riesling list.

I get pear/apples and diesel fuel in the older vintages.

Great post.
